Finally, I have reached the end of my A Level exams! My last one, biology, was this morning and I have an amazing sense of freedom right now! Its great to be able to put all the exam’s behind me and just have a good time. I’m looking forward to going to some great parties, spending more time with friends as well as with my family. I’ve got a great trip coming up with my Dad which will involve lots of wine drinking and food, as well as a trip to Barcelona with friends, which will give me a chance to start travel blogging again.
The pile of notes I don’t have to look at ever again!
I’m not entirely confident that I have got the right grades for the univeristy courses that I have applied for, so I’m researching courses to apply for on clearing already, as well aslooking at all my options. My geography and English exams went well, but biology, as always, was a struggle. I’m going to work hard this summer to make sure I have lots of options at the end of the year. I feel like this summer is going to be good for me, I’m looking forward to moving onto new things, and just having fun again!
You might have noticed already, but I’ve set up a new Facebook page for my blog. I don’t want to keep annoying friends and family with blog posts! It’s going to be the place for new blog posts and other content on Facebook, so like it if you like my blog! http://www.facebook.com/andreaavenablog
My week of exam hell is finally over this morning, after I finished my third exam this week. I’ve had English, Geography and Biology today. English and Geography weren’t too bad, I even quite liked the Geography questions. But Biology today was absolutely shocking. It’s definitely not my forte. I’ve decided now that I’m going to take what I get this year and see where I can go from there, in terms of university course.
I think my biology answers were as useless as this!
I have one more exam next Friday, so I’ll be spending this week revising again, though there isn’t as much pressure as this week. I’m just looking forward for the exam season be coming to the end of them though, I’ve got some great things planned for the summer so I can’t wait to finish! I’ve got a couple of trips coming up and some great parties – can’t wait for Summer 2012!
It’s been nearly a month since my last (very brief) blog post, so I thought I’d catch up on this Bank Holiday. The last couple of weeks have been busy, with the start of my A level exams as well as leaving sixth form. I’ve been revising as much as possible which has meant I’ve been pretty busy, but I did take some time out to celebrate the last day of sixth form.
We had a fantastic gala night at school where we dressed up, watched some great performances by friends, gave out some funny awards and of course had a good night at the pub afterwards. There were some great speeches by the head girl and head boy, Alannah and Harry, as well.
Me and my friend Lydia at the Gala night, by the way I’m squinting I think I need her glasses!
It’s sad to leave behind a place that I have spent the last five years at, especially after moving to a new area and making some amazing friends for life. But I can’t wait to move onto something new this autumn and take with me all the great experiences of the last few years.
I’ve also been celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee this weekend, I helped out (which involved a lot of spilling cups of orange squash) at a kid’s jubilee picnic in Tenterden and I watched some of the very long and very wet Thames River Pageant (tempted to insert a joke here about Her Maj Raining over us…)
The next few weeks will be filled with revision (maybe not exactly FILLED…) as I have four exams but I’m very much looking forward to having a great time with my close friends in the summer. I hope you have all had a good few weeks as well 🙂
