Review: Katy Perry at Wembley Arena

Last night I had a fantastic time at Wembley Arena seeing Katy Perry on her last night performing in London as part of her California Dreams Tour.

After opening with her hit single “Teenage Dreams” the show was a fun trip though a candy world as Katy tried to find her beloved cat, Kitty Purry, taking us through songs from both her “One of the Boys” and “Teenage Dreams” Albums. Her vocals were amazing, along with her multitude of candy inspired costumes.

The highlights of the evening included a Jessica Rabbit-style performance of her breakthrough single “I Kissed a Girl” and an acoustic session where she sang Only Girl by Rihanna, Whip My Hair by Willow and a cover of Lady Gaga’s Born This Way.

However, the best part of the evening was of course the finale where Katy Perry ended by performing “Firework” and “California Gurls”, leaving the stage in an explosion of fireworks, glitter and beach balls.

Katy Perry really proved herself to be a fantastic performer and vocalist as well when she performed “Not Like the Movies,” a moving love song, whilst on a swing set high above the stage.

I fully recommend everyone goes to see the California Dreams Tour whether you are a huge Katy Perry fan or not, you’ll be sure to have a night of sweet fun!
